We're back from Steubenville East'

Day 2 Recap:  A second powerful day left the kids excited but exhausted.  The kids continue to experience God in many different ways.  For some it's through friends--new and old.  Others, experience God's comfort through tears.  Stil others have found a way to reconnect with God through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  And some of the kids have simply found God present in their lives for the first time.

The day started with a keynote talk on the Theology of the Body before we celebrated Mass.  After lunch, we attended the workshops including "Praying the Mass," "Jesus' Mam and Ours," and "Daring to Date."  We then broke for small group before going into the evening session of Adoration.

As we prepare for for our final day, please continue to keep the kids in your prayers and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's love to them.

Day 1 Recap:  In spite of having to dodge some nasty weather, today was an amazing start to our Steubenville Conference.  We arrived around 1:00 and checked in and then ran through the rain to the URI Student Union.  There we held some ice breakers and small group activities with just the kids from Holy Family.

Then, it was off to dinner and the start of the Conference.  The theme this year is from John 1:14: "The Word became Flesh."  The talks are focused on the amazing love God has for us by coming down from His throne Heaven being with us.  The kids got warmed up with some great music, heard some talks, and then experienced Adoration.  As usual, the kids are always amazed at how much they enjoy Adoration, though they really find words to describe the situation

We're off to bed now.  Don't forget to check out the videos and photos at the links below.  Please continue to pray for the teens and ask the Holy Spirit to bring them closer to their God.

Follow along with our group of over 30 teens and adult chaperones as we head to the University of Rhode Island to attend the summer Youth Conference put on by Franciscan University of Steubenville, OH. This is an amazing weekend for our parish teens. We have several ways you can go with us "virtually" on our trip this weekend (7/23-7/25)
